Zusammenfassung

Due to the economic globalization and the international mobility, an increasing number of professional activities require a deep competence in intercultural communication (IC) , competence that can not be confined to some pragmatic formulas but that requires: A. Knowledge of communicative, psychological, social and cultural mechanisms which are the basis of IC problems and potentialities. B. Enough familiarity with the appropriate communication methodologies and tools. C. Ability to apply methodologies and tools of IC in specific contexts like institutions, media, business. The objective of this project is to develop a multimedia course that meets the needs of competences outlined in points A, B and C. The I2C course will be offered to approx. 900 students belonging to of project partner Universities (Neuchâtel et Genève) and “users” partners (School of Applied Science and other Institutions eg FOSIT); then it could also be used by numerous students from different disciplines and faculties and in lifelong learning programs.
