The intention is to give medical students independent access to studies in a structured learning environment. This e-course integrates the basic subjects central to the study of medicine (pathology, pharmacology, pathophysiology and preparatory medicine) and is targeted at third-year students.

The navigation system allows participants to start with a real patient situation, understand the progress of the disease and ultimately prescribe a drug-based therapy.

Apart from the teaching material, the course provides test modules, checklists, discussion forums and contacts with the tutors and authors of the modules. As all medical faculties are integrated in the course, this facilitates student mobility within Switzerland.
