«ELO courses are aimed at Bachelor and Master students in European law. Around 80 students from Fribourg, but also from Lugano, HEI (Geneva) and Strasbourg are currently registered. While most courses are courses targeted at law students, the course taught in Italian at the USI in Lugano is a course prepared for economics students. Most existing courses are courses in blended learning, which complement regular lectures and provide students with further information and exercizes (MCQs or more complex exercizes). Erasmus students, of which we had about 80 at the Fribourg Law Faculty this year, find online courses particularly useful as they help them get over the language barrier and acquire knowledge at their own pace. Some courses cover basic elements in the European law training and are compulsory, whereas others are more specific and optional».
